It started out with dad not feeling well so I spent some time with him he has parkinsons plus menierre's plus diverculitis poor guy after that I had my abdominal ct scan(turned out fine) the next day was my lumbar puncture it wasn't painful but I had to lay completely flat for four hours I won't know about that til april first though.I guess they test for multiple things anywhere from ms to lyme to lupus etc...through the fluid. I had the dermatologist today got some good news I think. The lesion on my right leg is schambergs they don't know why the lesions occur and they go away but come back for life there is no cure but the good news is that they are benign and just ugly. I got a sore throat that is wicked and a raw tounge...sooo tired I got my littlest grand baby tomorrow she's almost two. Anybody out there with schambergs or another type of caprillitis?

I hope your weekend is much better and maybe you can enjoy your grand baby.
I dont have your skin condition.hopefully you willl find others that know more about it.

Sounds like a rough week. It never ceases to amaze me, the medical conditions that people have that I've never heard of! I guess all you can do is hope yours aren't too uncomfortable and life-threatening.

Have fun with your little grandbaby.

thanx for the thought. schamberg's is a fancy name for caprillary leak. I ended up with a spinal leak from the puncture so I'm flat on my back til monday then he will patch it.

it's not life threatening or uncomfortable just ugly I can live with that.

Not how you'd choose to spend your weekend, I'm sure (flat on your back!) How did they figure out that they'd given you a leak? (I'm assuming it's internal??)

the headaches when bending down much better today he said probably no blood patch that it may just have took longer to heal. Dizziness is unreal though but he said its not caused by the spinal.go figure its always something I can't wait for this flare to end. I did learn that for me a spinal is not too good for fibro...lots of exaggerated aches.

nana- I use to see a lot of spinal taps with leaks before. I use to take care of patients that had the spinal leak. It didn't seem fun. most of them would have severe migraines. Years ago they placed people in hospital for spinal leaks. Now it's unbelievable that patients have to care for serious problems at home due to the insurance problems. My friend had bladder surgery and they sent him home the same day with a catheter. They told him to take it out himself. So much if he bleeds from the surgery. Just crazy! Just do what they say and rest! Hope you are feeling better.

How awful! I wonder too, what this medical system is coming to.

It sure ain't like it used to be, back when they made sure you were all right before they'd let you leave the hospital.

they did the blood patch but I ended up being severly dehydrated so they sent me next door to the er. I was so dizzy I was puking. I am a little better now.
