I've been noticing a very annoying symptom lately. It has nothing to do with medications (I opted not to take anything for my FM), and although sometimes I can go a while before it happens and other times it's instantly, it is almost always happening on some level now.
I sew garments and do other things that require fine hand motions. If I'm lucky, it takes a while to start, but other times like today, it's the minute I start working. I'm calm, relaxed, and looking forward to the work when WHAM! My hands start shaking so much that I'm jabbing myself with pins and hardly able to hold fabric to pin together (I do a lot of hand sewing, but I really notice extreme shaking during the pinning part many times, since that does require more thought and fine motion for me), and struggling to line things up properly.
It's very frustrating, and yet another reminder I am not at 100%. I feel clumsy, and can no longer work on things for very long (my eyes also get tired quickly, so aside from our usual aches and pains, there's always something more to keep me from working a little longer). I just want to finish my projects, be pleased with the results, and have fun wearing what I've made with my friends instead of missing deadlines due to either not being able to sew or having to cut sewing time short.
Anyone else notice anything like that happening? I won't be going to my rheumatologist again until June, and I have other things I really need to talk to my regular doctor with at my yearly physical because I've had to keep putting them off (I'm not sure when I'll go for my physical yet). I'll be sure to mention it to both doctors, but I guess I just needed to share with others and even see how common it might be.
Thanks for your time.
