I do angel, my gma taught me so much about life in forms of all around us. Ah, sorry, we are native american. The life in the nature, how to tend to gardens, chickens, goats, even milk a goat. I remember growing up that I'd always be soo excited to go see gma so I can check for eggs, milk the goat, feed the goat, pull weeds and harvest all the vegetables and fruits. Her gardens were amazingly beutiful, flower gardens of different species, rose gardens, vegetable gardens, and the fruit trees. I loved picked apples, plums, getting the eggs, milking the goat, weeding, picking off the tomatoes and running from my mom as I ate it (I eat tomatoes like they are apples lol), picking the rhubarb, so many other veggies too. It was fun times. I also learned about family heritage and family stories from gma. I lived with her for awhile, as her sole caretaker, as gma had dementia. I know my twin in the world, its my mom. Seriously, with our backs turned no one can tell us apart. We usually have to have seperate hair lengths so people can know. Being mom's twin, paid off with gma and dementia... there were so many times she didn't know who I was but always accepted it, then remembered who I was after looking at me. I would just say "I am __'s daughter".. she'd look and look at me then say "oh yeah, thats right". When she had lucid moments, knowing something was wrong and cry I'd say "dont worry gma, its just your forgetters working overtime. it happens to everyone, even me."
I have many memories.
With gma passing, its bittersweet. I'm glad she doesn't have to live in pain, with the hallucinations (from dementia), and more. But I'm sad she's gone. I loved her so much
