How were you diagnosed?

Hey everybody,

I just had blood drawn today for all the labwork that was ordered for me.
l am wondering if some of you guys could post your experiences with diagnosis, and maybe which tests your doctors ordered and what diseases they tried to eliminate.
I would love to hear about it!

Wow. I remember many various blood tests, a treadmill stress test. The specifics though have gone over time.

They ruled out lupus, though my current doc wants to retest for that.

Diagnosis was made easierfor me due to family history. My sister was diagnosed in the 90s, and so I was already familiar with the condition.

Sorry, I wish I could remember. It's been over 2 decades since I went through that L-O-N-G process! I just remember feeling discouraged, guilty, and scared that I had something life-threatening.

By the time I got to my current, wonderful doctor, I'd had so many that he just looked through my records and did a tender point test. He said he thought it was Fibro and told me what it was.
