Update

Going out west in a few weeks for the memorial service and to box up my sister's things. Also trying to plan a memorial service on the east coast forJuly.

Mom's masectomy went well, but she now has some blood clots ( not deep vein) in the other arm, and we are back in the ER with a high temp. She is supposed to go home tomorrow from the rehab home, but this might not happen now.

There is a virus going around, so I suspect this. My brother and his wife have it... I Suspect I have it as well.

I am not getting enough exercise and my muscles are aching badly due to stillness. Iam not eating well, trying to combat my tendency to sugar up when stressed. I need more painkillers, or better ones. Sleep is not a problem, luckily.

I am ready for May to be over.

I try to do water work and/or something at least three days a week. If I don't, I get far more achey. It has been hard recently, with intermittant (sp) flaring. I cannot do OTC painkillers, due to UC. I rode my bike around town yesterday, and it was fine. I did spend much of the day trying to find some material for my sister's memorial service, so might have been 'emotionally stimulated'.

I have been doing mindfulness for a few months, and it has helped. I just need to not eat bad things.

You really have had a lot to deal with but I think you are doing magnificently well considering all the stress and mourning you have gone through.  Things will settle back down and this soon will be a bad memory.  I'll be praying that everything goes well with your Mom.  It's good they found the blood clots.  There is medication that can break up some blood clots so I hope that's all she will have to do.

 

Just take one day at a time and you will come out on the other side of this.
