Hi Kathy,
Glad you found out what was causing your problem, hopefully the glasses will keep you safer.
I have worn glasses since I was a young girl. I was told then that I had an astigmatism in my left eye, many yrs later, as an adult, I was told I also had an astigmatism im my right eye. Since you are born this way, I don't know how they missed it. lol
I wear bifocals, have for about 15 yrs or so. I have had a few pairs in that time, as my eyes have changed over time. I need them to read a book or paper. I also have very sensitive eyes, light kills me. I squint and look like Mole-Woman. I HAVE to wear sunglasses to go outside - year-round! What I had to do was get a pr of larger wraparound sunglasses from WalMart to wear over my regular glasses. They are the Polarized ones so it cuts the glare. I use them for driving, working in my yd or reading outside.
They have these kind of glasses at the eye glass stores, but they also cost a small fortune, and for me the frames are toooo tight on the sides of my head/ears. Can't wear them, have a problem w/ headaches as it is. The Walmart ones are about $20.00 and they don't crush my head.
I have very light blue eyes, as do most of my family. The light is usually very hard on light color eyes. I can't see and I sneeze like crazy. I go no where w/o my sunglasses.
Just thought I would suggest that to you, before you spend money you don't need to spend.
Have a good day.
God bless. Alice.
