Once again, I wonder if I've damaged my spine!

Five minutes ago, I tried to scoot my cat away from pooping behind the tv (long story) with my reacher.  I must've bent my legs a little too far, and they gave out on me.  OW!  I landed with a thud, right on my butt!  cry  

The same thing happened 2 weeks after my spine surgery, but that time, I landed on my knees - now I'm 12 weeks out, so maybe I got away with landing right on the surgical spot..??  Man, I did NOT need this!!

I'll probably be calling my physical therapist tomorrow to see if she can get me in before the weekend.  I really need her to tell me it's ok - I'm assuming it is, but I really am a little freaked right now.  I was already having a bad day, more pain than usual.

Sorry you're in pain. I hope your physical therapist will be able to get you in quickly. My fingers are crossed for you. In the meantime, I hope you find some relief tonight. Next time, just let your cat take a crap in peace for goodness sakes. Hope this made you laugh.

Debbie, I'm sorry you fell again!  But, you most likely are just fine.  It seems to me that if you injured yourself  you would have a lot of pain and you didn't say that.  Your worse symptom from the fall is....worry and anxiety.  You have support from your muscles, I think, and that would help too.  The surgery was three months ago so your body has done a lot of healing so try not to worry so much.  If you still have no pain and you are reading this, I wouldn't worry.

Debbie, I'm sorry you are hurting...your surgery is still fresh to you. One thing about having a "bad back" is that natural inclination to protect it. Ten years after my surgery, I will sometimes throw my back out for a day or two. Just last week I tried hoola hooping with a weighted hoop...what was I thinking? I paid for that. In time your back does heal and regains some strength....walking helps. We still need to be aware of how we bend and lift.

I don't think you damaged your back...you are probablly feeling some muscle strain though. Hoping each day you feel stronger :)
