Antiemetic???

I've taken zofran and promethazine in order to control my nausea with all the medications I take. I'm about to go on Reglan, I got it from the military doctor. I haven't gotten to discuss it with my pain management doctor yet, but I have read it is typically not to be taken past 12 weeks. It seems to be working as oppose to zofran that was ineffective and promethazine that gave me a body rash with sun exposure. Are there any other options I might want to know about in case I'm not to take Reglan any longer or anyone who has taken Reglan for a long time with no bad consequence?

Itsrealtime810, I don't like reglan because I had horrible side effect to it many years ago. I am surprised that is around still. It has had several medical law suits against it. I am actually allergic to most all of the nausea meds. It causes my muscles to cramp up and my body draws up uncontrollable. You might be able to take it fine. Vistaril for nausea works well for me and Dramamine.

What I would do is find out which medications are causing the nausea and stop taking them. I'm sure there are alternatives to them and they might not make you sick! Taking medication to counteract the side effects of another medication doesn't sound good to me. I have several things I'm allergic to but there are alternative medications that I take that do the same thing as the stuff I'm allergic to. So, I sure would sit down with the doctor and discuss this.
