Snowbunny,
Your post is very similar to the life I have now and am feeling so much better.
I take 5mg ambien, 200 mg gabapentin and 25 mg metoprol at night when I go
to bed at 10pm. Ambien gets me to sleep, gaba keeps me asleep and the metoprol
is for high b/p, but it also makes me sleepy. I go to bed at 10, read for 30 minutes,
put my ear plugs in and then get up at 7am. It has taken me 4 years of trial and error
to figure out this combination, without the sleep I was a zombie and had no quality of
life.
Then in the morning I take prozac 5 mg to raise serotonin levels which also helps me sleep
better. I am seeing and she thinks taking small amounts of the meds we are low
in is the way to go. It's working for me.
I try to eat organic, no white foods, drink herbal teas and get gentle physical exercise daily.
I count cleaning house as exercise along with walking, yoga and swimming.
Take care everyone.
Sharon
Sharon, we like to keep doctor's names off the forum. Even though you said nice things, we're not sure if doctors want their names out there and it could cause problems for HealingWell. Thanks for understanding.
