Hello,  I was diagnosed a few weeks ago with Fibromyalgia. I have thought for a long time that I might have it because I had alot of symptoms and overlapping conditions. I am a 41 year old female, married and have three grown sons.

Hi Sassie,

I am so glad you have joined us, but sorry for the reason why. We are all in the same boat here. So we understand what you are going through.

When you have a chance, check out the thread called "fibro 101". It is the second thread on the forum. I am sure you will find answers there. And with the members here.

Hi, Sassiegyrl, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us and joined our family!  I see you have been directed to Fibro 101.  Please read that.  You will learn a lot about fibro there and knowledge is power.  We need to be our own advocates with this illness.

Thank you for your replies. I have been looking at the Fib101 for the past few days. I hope to get to know all of you better too.

When I was diagnosed with this the dr put me on Savella and Trazadone while I continue taking wellbutrin. I had a reaction to the Savella and had to stop taking it. She does not want me to take Lyrica cause I could have the same reaction so I am just taking the wellbutrin and trazadone.

I have been having terrible back spasms and pain since I fell over to months ago. Ibuprophin and muscle relaxers do not seem to help. any advice?

Welcome sassigirl- I hope you learn as much as I have from this site. I encourage you to read as much on fibro as you can. Feel free to ask questions.

Hi Everyone smilewinkgrin

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was a busy one. Family came for a visit Friday night and stayed until sunday about noon.  We went yard saling on saturday for most of the day. I was exhausted! At one time I almost went to my knees because of sharp shooting pain.  So I have decided to get a second opinion about Fibromyalgia and my spine problems. This dr that I am going to see has helped with most of my health problems in the past.

I have also decided that I am going to join the court club for a month to see if swimming/floating helps. if not I can walk inside or something.
