Hi Nancy63,
I too have issues with pain in my legs at night. What helps me is to make sure I take a walk in the afternoon or evening and not sit around too much.
What also helps me to sleep though I'll never return to how much sleep I use to get is Melatonin and L-Theanine which are supplements at the health food store. Sleeping pills only allowed me to sleep for four hours and I couldn't take another during the night like I can with sleep supplements. With sleeping pills I also felt groggy the next day. Just to let you know even with my sleep supplements I can only sleep about
five to six hours and sometimes less but I do better than I did with the sleeping pills.
One thing to keep in mind too that might help you, if I eat something that day that doesn't agree with me like a wheat product, something that contains vinegar, acid like lemon or orange, deep fried food, spicy food, sugar, or caffiene I have more trouble trying to sleep.
Good luck to you.
