The causes of foofoo (fibromyalgia) is usually genetic, aka genes aka dna. Sometimes its PTSD, Emotional Stress, Sometimes its even a person's health. Mine is probably a toss up between my health and genetics, as my father has it as well.
As for your flare ups that is the severe pain, you must keep moving. You have to study your body, learn your body, feel your body. You can learn when you are starting a flare up, like many of us have. I personally, email my doctor when I start a flare up and say "PT time" and he refers me to Physical Therapy in a Swimming Pool under the guidance of Therapists. The key is to slow down, not to over do it.
If you need translation into Japanese, I am more than willing to do as so. Your english is wonderfully written. Please consider us as one of your support groups, we are here 24/7 and really understand what you go through. Welcome to the group, hope you stay!
I have also found relief through acupuncture, as well as accu beads.
