This is an odd question but it has been bugging me for years.
As a teen and into my early 20's I had beautiful handwriting. Printing or cursive I would always get compliments on how "neat" it was.
As I have gotten older and of course with the fibro my handwriting comes and goes.
I have good days and bad (for lack of a better descript
ion). Pain in my hands for the most part is not a factor.
This seems to be more along the lines of my hands and brain not lining up!
When I first started noticing it (years ago) I thought perhaps it was that my hands couldn't move as fast as my brain was. Now I don't believe that to be the case.
I have tried to really concentrate when I am writing and that almost seems to make it worse. Like I am trying too hard.
I have days when I don't form an entire letter making my writing difficult for others to read. Take an "S" for example. I can make the full "S" if I go back and fix it but otherwise it is more of a straight line than something with curves!
I have seen countless elderly people with seemingly "chicken scratch" type writing but that is usually related to arthritis.
This isn't that so much as something that I tend to blame on the fibro. It doesn't happen every time I write but often enough for me to notice (I write a lot with my job).
Just curious if anyone else has noticed something similar.
