Kimliz, besides all the obvious stuff, like cutting out
all the fast food, processed garbage, candy, chips, etc.... {I mean you would expect that, right ?}
I've also cut out all bread, potato's, rice, and pasta. Not that I think these things are inherently bad, they just rack up too many carb cals, too fast. I mean sure, if you can eat one bite of these things, and just stop right there, hats off to you for amazing portion control, but I'm a big boy, and I like to EAT :) LOL about the most carb dense thing I eat every day is 3/4 cup oatmeal, twice a day. I like oatmeal because it takes longer to digest, not causing as big an insulin spike, and providing energy for a longer period of time.... and, because I just love oatmeal ;) Especially with Silk Soy !
And finally, I've cut out most dairy, with the exception of a 6 oz yogurt most days. Now, while cutting the carbs way down is practiced, to keep the fat off, I think cutting out (or way down) on dairy could have more direct effects on Fibro... Or at least IBS. I could be wrong, but I bet at least a few here have found stomach problem relief from cutting dairy ?
So this ^ might leave you wondering, well what "can" you eat ?
Well, enough things that I really do enjoy, and which fit my requirements, that I can easily eat over 4000 cals a day..... Although I really don't need to. I break even at 3800-4000 :)
Tons of fruits and veggies, lots of lean chicken breast, pork tenderloin, egg whites by the gallon, Silk Soy milk, peanut butter, nuts of all kinds, raisins, oh, and a 300 cal (60gm) protein shake every day too.
Let me see if this works... this is a typical dinner for me...... BBQ chicken breasts, fresh Brussels Sprouts, with carmelized onion and garlic, and strawberries oatmeal with some real vanilla extract and Splenda :)

...... oh, so then there is all my workouts.... ahh geez ! It's after mid-night ?
Hey, if you would please, see if you can do a search on my posts. I know I spelled out all my workout stuff pretty recently. Suffice it to say here, I workout 60-90 min a day, 6-7 days a week (if you consider cardio a workout. I do)
