Hey everybody,

I know with this weather, everybody is hurting.  It shows in our threads.  I thought it would be nice if we could have one thread for positive posts.  Just to check in and say hello everyday.  Even if that is all we do.  Just say hello.

I for one was happy because the sun came out today and it warmed up some.  I was able to walk, and I haven't done that in a couple of weeks.  The scales show it too.  lol...

I also was told today that in a couple of days, it is going to get up into the 50's.  Which probably doesn't sound very good, but we have had 30's and 40's lately.

I hope that others post.  I am not really good at this, but I think we all could use a little virtual sunshine...

Hoping that everybody is feeling better soon.

Feeling better today. Finally was diagnosed with infection, given antibiotics. Felt worse for a few days, but have turned the corner!

My asthma and lupus has been flaring terrible, but I've been feeling better since I started a 8 day predisone dose.
I actually was able to help my mom with some of the laundry and wash the supper dishes. :)

Great guys,

I am feeling better too. I have relaxed some. Have had a lot of pain in my shoulders lately, but it has warmed up this evening and I am not hurting as much...

I got to get out this weekend. We went to a silent auction with great food served. It was inside Alaska sea life center. I was looking around and I happen to see them cutting up food for an injured sea lion. Then we had a beautiful sunset and spent the night in a motel. Something different.

Just spent a 4 day long weekend at our caravan, the rest and relaxation have eased my aches :)

today was slow but good. I was sad before because I was real sick until after dh went to bed. But I was still up to see him this morning and I was able to really hug him and lean up and kiss him.

Thanks for helping us to focus on something positive to share. When I first read it, it was depressing...."What positive shakehead ?  Your post made me put aside myself and my situation and find a positive point. I struggled with this today, but I look forward to the future posts. I hope I get better with practice. smilewinkgrin

 On another recent post someone said that they have to force themselves to focus on positive. When I read this, I wondered,"How do you do this"?  Thank you dearly for starting this ((Gentle Hugs))

This makes me so happy!!! I just love all of you so much... I slept in till 8:00 this morning, that is good for me, I am usually up at five or six.

It is cloudy, but warmer. It is suppose to get even warmer as the weekend approaches. This makes me so happy. It has been so cold the last two months. No fall here.... But with the warmer weather approaching, and the winds from the south, it is actually nice out!

My pain is better. For that I am so happy!

Sometimes it is hard to find the positives when we have so much negative in our lives, but just concentrating on it for a moment helps.

Karen, I just love the term you used: "virtual sunshine"...what a great idea for a thread!!  Even spending a few minutes thinking positively can have great benefits, and almost all of us have something to be thankful for.

I'm thankful for the fact that today the fibro isn't horrible, and I get to spend the day with my hubbie, who's an over-the-road truck driver and only home a couple of days per week.  I also have people who love me, a roof over my head, and hot water at the turn of the tap--far more than many in this world have, and for that I am thankful.

Well, my good news is I'm just a little achy after scrubbing and mopping all the tile in my house...about 1,300 square feet of it!  I can't believe it.  Just mopping half the tile would cause me extreme pain but I did this yesterday...took me four hours to do...and I'm just achy!  The only thing I'm doing differently is taking the muscle relaxer.  WOW!  That's all I can say.  Plus, my tile looks clean for the first time in ages.  yeah

I "graduated" from the cardiologist yesterday.  This is the 3rd year I have had to see her due to a really low heart rate and crazy palpiations (PVCS - bigeminy and trigeminy).  Yesterday I was told I don't have to have any tests this year or see her anymore!  She FINALLY agrees that after my severe allergic reaction my Fibro and heart just went a little too crazy and that I don't need to be followed anymore.  Hooray!

My good news is - We got power back - AGAIN. Hurrican Sandy knocked us out last wk, then late last wk we got power/ heat/ cable back. Couple of days later we lost it again. We couldn't even call/text anyone, so no one knew what happened.

I have been having a hard time emotionally these past few days, I guess just not being able to contact family. Today we got power back so I was able to email some family and friends to let them know we are among the living. That has reduced a lot of my stress. I'm feeling a lot more positive. My body is a hurting mess, but my spirits are a bit lighter. It is a step in the right direction.

Mammogram came back normal...yippee. It is not unusual for me to have to have an untrasound follow up to check out something suspicious...not this time...yahoo turn

Alice, I am so glad that you got power back. Take it one day at a time. Things will get better!
