I was wondering if there are anyone here on the forums who are from Alaska, more specifically, the Anchorage, Eagle River, and Wasilla area.

I thought I was the only one to live on this iceburg! Lol I really enjoy this site. It has made a world of difference for me. I had tried everything for the fibro medication wise, except the natural path. I am not completely natural, but less meds seem to be better for me. I have so many side effects from drugs. Heating blanket is my best friend. I don't know how you got in Alaska, but mine is a long story. I think most Alaskans have a long story. Lol I use to cry about wanting out of this state, but I realize this is where my bread and butter is. We are a rich state and blessed to have jobs here. I don't work, but my husband provides for me. I do own a very large sad light. I am not sure if I am ready for winter. I hope you find this site helpful.i

This sight has been a blessing, I had half-heartedly looked around for a local support group with no luck.
I know I'm not ready for winter. I get bad anxiety from driving and it gets so much worse when it snows.
I grew up here, and even though I would love to live somewhere warm, my family is here, and I would miss them all too much if I moved.
I have a couple of heating pads and a heated blanket that are my best friends when it gets cold.
I have never liked the cold, but I remember liking snow back when I was a little kid, now I can't stand it.

I can't do that, I have a hard enough time just being in my boyfriends car, let alone other peoples, or on a bus. If I had it my way I would never have to leave the house =p
