Welcome momtomany! I believe you will love this forum. It has brought great support and a great info tool for me. I would wait to change any meds until after surgery. If I have surgery I am very slow in mending then other people. Some have no problems. I would make very slow chanages. Expect some side effects, but give the drug a chance to adjust before deciding it's going to work or not.
when things slow down and you get some down time pick up some good books on fibro. It really helped me. I wish I had actually read it years ago because I could see myself in it. All this time I thought I was nuts and my Dr. thought I was. After reading the book I was actually a little angry because know one told me all about
all these problems that go with it.
I came to this site in horrible shape, but now I am doing well. I learned how to mangage my fibro from this forum. I can have some days still, but far apart now. Actually I try to stay on moslty natual ways because I was tired of all the side effects to the drugs. We are all so different in how we treat and manage our fibro. Many of us have more then one illlness. You will see some things will work for you, but not for others.
I hope you have a speedy recovery. I know being a mom and having surgery is not going to be easy. I hope you have some support and help at home. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. I hope to see you around the fourm.
