Recently, our congregation got kids younger than our norm (4th to 7th grade). So I have been 'chosen' to open classes for Preschoolers to 3rd grade. With the young age, I'm dumbfounded. I am great with kids yes, but how do I teach them to understanding? Got any ideas?

You can go to a bible literature company and get age appropriate material.
There's a company called Life Springs in Royston, GA that sells literature.
(I have no ties to them.)

I used to teach children's church years ago and we bought a year's worth of programs and used it. There were skits and sermons all in the kit. It came in handy.

Oh thank you Joy! I know their attention span is not as golden as other kids and they need play time and won't really understand things at being four, five, six, seven years olds

Also try action songs with them. Like "There was a wise old King" "B-i-b-l-e" There's a lot out there you can put movement in and they love it.
