I just bought my parents' gifts on-line. :)

I'm so tired of shopping for the right present.

What do you get a man who recently lost his wife and is impossible to buy for?

If he's religious get him a very nice bible, leather bound with name embossed on the cover.

Or create a scrap book (or DVD) of photos you have of his wife, family, and him.

Religion is complicated, here. He is religious, but not at all traditionally. And his wife was buddhist/hindu.

Very complicated.

I thought about writing some remembrances for him. Also, putting together some recipes for him, easy and healthy and tasty. He has already organized photos, and sent them out to all of us. I think he would like a remembrance.

Great guy. I wish I could do more for him.

I haven't even started. It has been toooo cold to go any where. I haven't really had any desire to go. At least I have money to buy, just haven't push myself I guess. My kids birthdays just got over, so I have to think what to buy them again. Shipping is so high from Alaska, so this year our family wants gift cards. Easy enough.

Trying. Took a big honking painkiller, but my muscles still wouldn't chill out when I went to bed. Up and down all night. Even now, with my regular regimin of morning meds, still feeling it badly.

I know better. I was having a good time. Sometimes, you have to make the choice to just enjoy yourself, and pay the piper later with pennies scrounged from the sofa cushions.

I liked someone's idea for shopping online who said that here, and i was looking at ebay for some stuff really found great gifts there for 10 and under loved it

I do online when I know what people want. Far too often, I have no clue. One of the joys of our far-flung society is that we don't always really know the person as well as we used to! Or what they have, need, or like. Even SO was complaining last night that he buys me books, but *hopes* I haven't already read them, because I read so much. He and I live in separate cities due to work.

I manage some online presents for my SO, but the rest of my family I usually have to wander around.
