I was telling my husband it felt so nice to be in very little pain for several months. Unfortunately that is not the case right now. I have been waking up very feeling like I was 80 years old again! I am more irritable when I ache.

It was so amazing not to have much pain. I got to find out how normal people kind of felt. I still had the fatigue, but to have hardly no pain was huge. My sickness probably triggered my fibro.

Now I am taking ibuprofen 2-3 times a day with my subutex. I look forward to the day to be in less pain again.

Angel, I'm sorry that your pain level has gone back up...it sure can be frustrating...that seems to be the nature of fibro and other conditions...symptoms wax and wane...you never know when things will improve or get worse.

Hoping you will experiance less pain very soon and until then the ibprofen brings you wonderful relief.

I hope you feel better soon. I am having a flare today. I hate cold weather and all the stress of holidays.

Not to be a downer, i do want to say be careful with the ibruprofen. Hubby took it for a bad shoulder and without me knowing it, he took it for a good while and too much each day. He developed a bad ulcer and wound up getting 5 units of blood. So please be careful! I like ibruprofen for aches, but since i have had bleeding ulcers several times (since i was 13) try never to take it.

There are so many simple triggers to kick up the pain some notches.  It's frustrating.  Like you, I was going along and the pain levels were good and now my hips are hurting more and more but we are getting cold fronts passing through a lot.  You are in such freezing conditions but I really don't think a body gets used to that type of coldness.  That, coupled with having been sick, sure could kick in the fibro pain.  But the great news is that you will get in control of it again.  It's not a forever thing, thank God! 

 

I hope your pain lessens and you can have an enjoyable Christmas.

I know I need to be careful for 2 reasons on the ibuprofen. I don't want to get a bleeding gut and I take lots of Coumadin. The ibuprofen messes with the Coumadin blood count. My Dr's wonder sometimes why we can't regulate it. I tend not to tell them I take that much. I really have no other drug choice. The prescription anti inflammatory will cause me ulcers. I cant take big opiates, so I am in a pickle. Lol

Yes, that is a mess. I did have a bleeding ulcer a year ago and had to stop ibuprofen but with having fibro and ankylosing spondylitis, i got so I couldn't walk! I was put on ibuprofen again. I take a couple of other meds to help protect my stomach and so far, so good. All the anti-inflammatories can do this. My blood is a little thinner because of ibuprofen, too. If I cut myself, I bleed longer so I can see your problem.

My only other option to help with inflammation are drugs such as Humera and Remicade. Those drugs have side effect like heart problems, can cause cancer, tuberculosis, etc. Sorry. Those frighten me too much so I'm praying the ibuprofen doesn't cause me more problems. It's truly a quality of life issue for me.

But, I do think your doctor needs to know everything you are taking. Maybe they can adjust the Coumadin with that in mind. You will just have to explain the problems you have and hope they understand. After all, it's your body. You are the one dealing with all these issues and you do need quality of life the best way you can. I'm sorry you are dealing with all of this.

I'm sorry too, Angel. That is quite a quandary.

I can see why you're living for the day you can take off on your Southern vacation! :) That would be me, also. South is warm - south is good!!
