I've been doing stretches for over 10 years twice a day. If I don't I become more stiff and sore than my usual.
Be careful of the stretches you do. Especially if you have any injuries or back and neck issues. Years ago, my physical therapist at the time went through the stretches with me after recommending several. She made sure I was doing them correctly.
Another thing to know is never do a stretch where you put your head back, that isn't good for your neck.
Also don't do any stretch that hurts.
