Saw rheumie today. He added IBD arthritis AKA enteropathic arthritis, or Spondylitis to the list Of the already tiring conditions.

Basically, not just fibro pain in muscles but also joints and swelling.

New script to go pick up, mesalamine. And more painkillers. I will pick them up after rehearsal tonight. I have to go in early to move a few platforms. Boy, really looking forward to that.

Is this the same as ankylosing spondylitis? That's what I was diagnosed with last year. The fact that I have Crohn's helped them with the diagnosis. It's an extremely painful disease and my spine could possibly fuse so I wouldn't be able to bend or twist. The ibuprofen and muscle relaxer has really helped and so far, so good. I do a lot of back stretching and that helps me, too.

I hope this diagnosis doesn't give you a lot of problems. You have enough on your plate.

Sorry to hear that you've have added another diagnosis. Inflammation in the back is painful. Hoping you get relief soon!

It is the same. Or, at least, in the same family. It actually helped my rheumie that we have had monster-weather systems moving through over the past few days. Everyplace he touched hurt, and there is visible swelling in my ankles, wrists, fingers... Also, for the past month or so, have been struggling with energy. I just want to stay in bed.

Kinda depressed about it, at the moment. I am only 44.

Are you being put on an anti inflammatory? That should help you a lot. My rheumy wanted me to take Humera or Remicade infusions. No thank you! LOL. He finally agreed to the ibuprofen and muscle relaxer and I'm so much better. I almost couldn't walk last year at this time.

It's good that you know what is going on so you can now be helped. It's good you are younger. You can move easier than older people. You are active, too, so that's good, too. Once you get this under control this will be a bad memory. They are doing so much for these types of illnesses these days.

That's rough. I'm sorry.

You're doing everything possible for it - what else can you do? Especially having to work through it...at least tomorrow's Friday!

TGIF. I didn't have the energy to move the platforms last night. I am hoping that after the weekend, I will have the energy at night to get 'er done, as they say. I also didn't pick up my meds at the pharmacy last night (I wanted my dinner by 9:30!) and was running late this am. This week is turning out not so good. I ought to be able to get them on the way home.

Just tired.

I'm sorry you had to add a new problem to what you already are juggling. I have ankylosing spondylitis and I know the pain involved. I hope you find ways of managing. My thoughts are with you.
