I got cortisone injections in my knees and right shoulder yesterday. I'm so very sore and they hurt so much they kept me up all night.
So I'm exhausted and didn't go grocery shopping last night because I'm lazy. So I didn't have anything for lunch and decided I'd snack on chex mix. I'm chewing and then notice a really hard piece. I spit it out to find out that I broke my back molar. Such a great addition to my day. I hate going to the dentist but I guess I get to start arranging that. I was really enjoying that I only have therapy next week, too.

Aww! I'm sorry, AV. That would be the icing on the cake. Mouth stuff is one of the worst.
I'll never forget the time a temporary crown came out over the weekend. I got a hold of the dentist's assistant and she met me to put it back on. She couldn't legally do novacaine or any kind of pain control. Thought I was gonna pass out from the electric pain while she was fitting it on....but once it was back in place, I was fine.
Then there's my hubby, who went around with a big chunk out of his tooth for a year, and never felt so much as a twinge. ?? Sometimes I think the man's not human.
I hope it's not too painful and you can get it fixed fast.

Sorry that had to happen! Hope things get better soon.
I remember once going to the dentist and he was talking with a lady who was on her way out of the office. While drinking coffee earlier, she had a tooth fall out. The dentist said, "That must have been some STRONG coffee!" (I guess it was!!)
Hang in there!

Well, my dentist is out of town until Monday. His receptionist said she would fit me in on Monday, though. So I just gotta make it through the weekend. I'm kind of afraid to eat much, it already hurts and I don't want to make it hurt more.
The kids are with their dad this weekend so I don't have to worry about
being grumpy around them, at least. My husband can just suck it up! Lol.

Stay on top of the pain this weekend. Seriously... Don't let the jaw pain get out of control.

Hi A_V,
I hope your weekend isn't too bad. Maybe soups and jello or something like that. I remember breaking a tooth before. It always hurts and I would cut my tongue on it. Take care, I hope that you feel better soon. I see you take hydrocodone, that is the best med for mouth and tooth problems. Keep on top of the pain, as was posted above.
Take care sweetie...
Hugs, Karen

I SOOOO totally feel for you ! My dental situation is a nightmare :( I have a molar (the only one I have left) which is split all the way down, right through the center :( It can only be removed surgically, and I can't have surgery until I can completely get rid of this bronchitis :( Then, have to pay $600 out of my pocket, because I have no dental ins :(
Hope you get your dental stuff worked out, easily, and with as little pain as posible...
Peace,
Fish

Unfortunately, my doctor and I decided to stop the hydrocodone. I don't like taking such strong medications with the kids home. So I'm trying to manage with tramadol. Not really working so great.
I have lots of soup, applesauce, etc. I'm going to make it as easy as possible on my jaw as I can. I'm just repeating my dad's mantra, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger".
