Hi, TNDadx4, and welcome! Yes, we have quite a few members who think their fibro started after an accident. Some think it happened after an illness, emotional traumas, and some like me cannot trace a reason. No matter what, we all have pain. Doctors believe this is a neurological problem.

It's good that you are working. We do have members that carry that full load. If your job is more sedentary, though, try to get up and walk around when you get the chance. Sitting or laying too long will make you stiff as a board and have more pain. It's good to have a gentle exercise that you do daily, too. I walk or swim as my form of exercise. Also pacing yourself does help with the pain.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good information about fibro and you will learn a lot there. You just might see yourself there, too.

Hi, George. Glad you joined us. We are a very supportive group, and although we each have our own viewpoint and problems, we do share the pain and many symptoms. This forum has been a lifesaver for me.

Pringle, nice to "meet" you too. It might be a good idea to start a new thread with a title containing, "newbie" or something, so people realize you're new. You'd probably get more responses that way.

Welcome! I am one of the workers, too. I tend to function better with a steady schedule, though right now am in an achy place and supertired place, for a lot of reasons.

Eat healthy at work.

Take mental health breaks.

Pace yourself.

Move as much as you can.
