Prayers please.

My uncle was in a very bad car accident this morning. He ended up underneath an 18 wheeler. He's been airlifted to Memphis and we've been told he's in critical condition.

He's a single father to a 9 year old little boy. We are all coming together for him and his little boy.

My uncle passed away on the way to the hospital. No family members even got to say goodbye. I hate that he died alone.

Yes, it was on the interstate. We don't know much about the accident as he was airlifted from the scene.

All your prayers are very appreciated. His wife and children and his brothers and sisters needed them and still do. Thank you all so much.

I remember once reading about worrying about loved ones dying alone, but it was said no one really is 'alone'--the Lord and His angels are near.  I found that very comforting, and hope you will, too.

Thank you. I miss him so much. It's not set in yet. My moms brothers and sisters need prayers to get through this hard time. I'm just sitting with my head spinning.

We saw his truck today. It was like God meant for that to be his time. He was hit by an out of control semi and the way it hit was like it had been aimed for him. I don't know if that makes sense. His truck is such a gruesome thing. Surprisingly, his cell phone survived the crash with no damage.

I haven't been able to sleep yet. My brain is just reeling with the things I've seen, not wanting to accept it, and how regretful I am for not seeing him more. His little boy and my son are the same age and they played together quite often. My little cousin just breaks my heart. He's got several learning disabilities. His birth mother tried to sell him as an infant and my uncle (not the biological father but uncle to him through my aunt). He and my uncle were so close. My uncle adored that little boy. Sorry, for rambling. I have to be strong a bit longer to help my mom so I needed to let out some of my grief to people who are so compassionate and like a second family.

Thank you to everyone. It's been a bad day. My parents are divorced and my mom was angry that my dad didnt offer his condolences. Dad has some serious family issues going on that I've been told that I can't tell my mom. Today I was helping her with pictures for the viewing and she started in on my dad. I told her he'd got a serious problem at home. She starts spouting how I should tell him that she hopes a semi hits him or his sister. I told her that it wasn't worth getting upset about. They've been divorce for 15 years. Then she started detailing all of my uncles injuries saying I should tell him that. I got up and reminded her that I chose to not see him injured because I didn't want to remember him that way. Now all I can see is him the way she described. I understand she's hurting but I don't think using me as a punching bag when I've been there for her in every way possible is right.

After more family drama, I was very ready to come home. I live about 30 minutes from the area where he lived.

My uncle was a postal worker and served in the navy for 11 years. When we got to the church there were all these postal trucks there. A lot of his coworkers were there in their uniforms. My uncle loved his job and it was wonderful that they chose to honor his memory that way. A lot of people were there. He touched many people's lives.

His burial was honored by fellow naval personnel. His widow was given the flag. I was so happy that all of these people had come. My uncle would help anyone and he was a true friend. I hope I can leave even half of his legacy. He will be missed but I know he's in a better place and with my grandparents and my brothers.
