Do you do any type of weight bearing exercises each day to keep your muscles strong? What about
walking, regular squats/deep knee bends, etc?
Even if I am on my bed using my computer, I am always doing isometric type exercises and doing mini sit ups to keep my core strong or using different colored stretchy bands I got in PT. I used to do 100 sit ups (all different kinds) a day until my first cervical fusion:(
Now I use an exercise ball each day as that is wonderful for balance and core strengthening! I am 44...and both my PM and Neurosurgeon are very encouraging about
doing as much as I can each day to stay strong as it's a "use it or lose it" issue as we age.
If it's a true balance issue to where you are falling for no reason that is possibly neurological and not strength related, I would seek out a Neurologist to get things checked out.
