I would like to invite you to complete a study on psychological factors and adjustment to fibromyalgia. Below is a short summary of the study.
BACKGROUND
Research has indicated that a number of psychological factors (fear of pain, catastrophising, coping skills, acceptance of pain and self-efficacy) influence physical and psychological wellbeing in people with chronic pain. However, less is known about
the interrelation of these factors and how they relate to physical and psychological wellbeing of people with fibromyalgia.
OBJECTIVE
Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between fear of pain, catastrophising, coping skills, acceptance of pain and self-efficacy, and how they relate to adjustment (physical and psychological) to fibromyalgia.
METHOD
Online survey. You will be completing an anonymous questionnaire. This does not take more than 20-30 minutes, but you can complete it intermittently to avoid fatigue. Please follow the link (below or above) for instructions more information .

All information provided will be confidential and all participants will be anonymous. This study has been reviewed and approved by the Institute of Work Health & Organisations Research Ethics Committee at the University of Nottingham.
