Wallowing in sadness the past few days....

And now, I am done. Time to get out and get stuff done.

I have been down for three days or so. That's generally as far as I can go, before I get bored off my tuckus. I have always been goal-oriented, and after a few days I cannot deal with the inactivity.

So, need to start the paperwork to end my affilation with my job, and pack the last few things at work. I am moving them on Friday. I need to go to OIT to deal with my work gadgets. I asked the secretary and she shrugged, so I guess I am on my own. I have very mixed feelings about my ipad. Supreme time waster, but such a cunning little object.

Anyway, get going, everyone. Keep the mind and the body sharp!

Glad you are feeling more positive--and good for you for pulling yourself up!

Change is always so hard.  I hope things fall into place and everything works out fine.

BTW:  I love your last sentence!  That's something I need to tell myself on a daily basis...or more.

I have to keep busy, too.  I can't stand to just sit around doing not much of anything.  This is a big change for you and what you are going through is normal.  It's a type of grief in a way.  You probably wouldn't be doing this if the job had worked out better.

 

But, look to the future!  It's a sad time but also a time of excitement.  You will be with your SO and that's good.  You will have a change of scenery and probably a better view out your window and no smoking neighbor either.  AND, you just might be surprised when it comes to job hunting.  Jobs are out there.  You have an advanced education and you are quite intelligent.  These are big pluses for you. 

 

So, start looking forward to each day with anticipation.  You are almost done with the nasty part of your move and now the enjoyment part is coming down the road.  I do personally think you made the right decision...with all the info you have given us.  I think you will be far happier in a few days.
