Day 6/7 over...

I can't work 7 days straight anymore. I have to talk to my manager about this. I am in so much pain, so exhausted, etc, by the 5th day that I drag through the 6th and 7th. I felt "off" all day today. Spacey. This isn't a good feeling, for sure.

yea, it does sound like something you should discuss with your manager. Maybe they can break it up for you so it wont be so difficult.

That would be rough!

I don't know what type of work you do, but could any of it be done from home? Just an idea.....

Unfortunately, no. I work in retail. I am also going to school, trying to finish my bachelors degree then on for a masters, hopefully.

Gracious, that sounds like a lot!! I hope your manager is favorable to adjusting your schedule, and that you can work it out.

Wow! I tried to do 3 12 hrs shifts and I failed. I don't know how your doing all this. Hopefully your manager can understand. Good luck.

no wonder your feeling tired...I think this is a lot even for someone without fibro!

Does your manager know of your condition? Perhaps if they do, they can be a bit more understanding and help you to work it out...Do you have a book you can take in to show them or maybe print the Fibro 101 so they have an understanding of how fibro affects us?

she knows of my condition but I think she believes it's a joke. today I am hurting so bad that none of my meds are doing much more than taking the edge off. I can't wait till I am off tomorrow, but I have housework that needs done. I just need a break from everything.

I am moving at a turtles pace today and trying to train a new girl. fogginess is wide than yesterday.

If I were you - I would let the housework be until you feel better. It's not going anywhere!

I know that's easier said than done, but you sound like you are at the end of your rope....so any possible slack you can cut yourself, you should.

When I was caring for my parents, I just pushed through everything and ignored my body - and went flat-out all the time. I believe I am still paying for that now, 5 years later, with increased pain and muscle and disc and nerve problems and who knows what-all. That's why I'm saying this.

I really hope you can cut back on your work!
