I still have a lot to learn, ugh...overdid it today.

One of the things that our family loves to do together is go to the Renaissance Faire. Thankfully, there's a lot of shade and places to sit, and parking isn't miles away from the entrance, so it's not as bad as, say, a theme park. And there are lots of shows at ours (Georgia-Fairburn), so there's a fair bit of sitting anyway. But in typical fashion, I way overdid it. Too much sun, too much activity (lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.), just too much. I did drink more water than normal (and promptly sweated it out), and I did persuade the husband to rent a wagon for our two youngest (ages 4 and 6), so the totebag with extra water, camera, sunscreen, etc. got to ride in that instead of on my shoulders, but still. Blech.

I will learn. I will hurt for the next few days (who am I kidding-I already hurt), but next time, I will remember. Admittedly, though, we had a blast, and I'll probably do it again next year. In costume, LOL (no costumes this year-it was spur-of-the-moment).

Thanks, Joy! Too much fun is too right! It is hard to stop. I need to build in more rest time and time inside the little pub areas & such, to get out of the sun, next time I have something like this.

I have to be "on" tomorrow morning at church (singing with the praise band, directing the choir), and plan to do a minimal amount of decorating for VBS tomorrow afternoon (as little as I can get by with!), then come home to soak awhile.

I often overdo when I am gardening. You'd think I'd learn, but I get so 'into it' that I forget I have fibro, sometimes. I do pay for it later, and I think I'm slowly learning, but I still have my days....

Anyway, you are not alone!

Steph, Most of the time, I find the fun is worth the extra pain. There are days that we can be doing everything right and still flare.

Fibro can be a crap shoot. :) Life is meant to be lived though. Having fun is part of it and fibromites deserve to be happy too. I'm glad you enjoyed your day!

I'm glad you're doing better than you expected.  It's odd, how sometimes we get away with stuff and sometimes we don't.  It's probably due to factors we're not even aware of....like the full moon, or what's floating around in the air, or - - well, who knows?     

Anyway, what a fun time that must have been!  I have only been to 1 Renaissance Faire, and I loved it.
