Angel, the sun has to be on your skin. Were you in a bathing suit or did you use sunscreen? I'm in the sun all the time, in a bathing suit in the afternoons usually, but I use sunscreen when out in the sun so the D can't be absorbed through the skin. I'm low in D, also. I was very surprised...just like you were.
I don't know why your legs, knees and thighs are swelling. Have you talked to your doctor about this? You might need a diuretic. Do keep moving and walking. Even marching in place will help keep the blood flowing and hopefully bring swelling down. When you are sitting, keep your legs elevated.
Also, you might have a low grade infection if you have the sore throat.
When I had my blood work done about two months ago it showed elevation of my white blood cells. That can mean an infection. I thought I felt fine and I did just get over a sinus problem so that's what the doctor chalked it up to. I also had a tooth that was slightly tender but then I developed a pus pocket in the gum and that sent me to the dentist. I had a root canal that went bad. Long story short...I was given an antibiotic for that, this could also have been the reason for the elevated white cell count, and I really feel better! I didn't realize I felt bad! I think I just had this low grade infection going on. It might be something to check out.
If it's a flare, do not get depressed about it. It will leave sometime...and it could be tomorrow! Instead, read that thread about maintaining a positive attitude with chronic pain in Fibro 101. When I start to get down that's exactly where I head! After that, start doing things that will take your mind off your body. That helps me a lot.
I hope you start to feel better. We are here when you need us. You know that. Just start thinking about that nice vacation you will be having. You very well could be a lot better by then.
