I really don't have any answers - sorry! I hope you can make a decision you feel comfortable with.
Here's a way that you can find out what you really want to do: grab a coin and designate one choice to heads and the other to tails. Flip it in the air to see which lands up: heads or tails. No, I'm not suggesting you make a decision based on a coin flip. But what happens is, when that coin is in mid air, you suddenly know which way you want it to land. Of course, what you want may not coincide with what you feel is right, but it would be helpful to know how you really feel about things.
This year, I made the decision to take a leave of absence for a semester from uni to learn how to control my condition. It has left me feeling somewhat depressed because I am not really doing what I love to do anymore - even though I still have a couple deferred assessments to work on, so I am doing something. I'm just not learning new stuff, which is what I love to do. Or maybe I'm feeling down because I can't seem to do stuff when I try to do it. I don't know. It also made me feel down (while I was still doing uni) to try to do homework but not being able to cope with it. So... Guess I'm saying that both failing at something you love and not doing something you love can get you down. But you've got your family to look after - and you love them, right? You'd still be doing purposeful stuff: a part-time job, training and teaching and loving your kids, housework...
Don't know if that helps or not
