I learned different stretches during PT and continue to do them. I also put all my joints through a range of motion. Start with your neck then shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, waist, hips, knees, ankles right down to your toes and gently bend and move them through their range of motion. This really helps with relieving stiffness.
I'm a walker so I do the hamstring stretch before I start. Sit with your legs in front of you with your knees slightly bent. Stretch your arms forward and grab your calves while trying to keep your back as straight as you can.
There are stretches you can do while in bed in the morning...pelvic tilt and low back, butt and thigh stretch. Daily stretching has helped me with maintaining my mobility and relieving stiffness.
Good luck to you.
Hugs, Robin
