Anna, I have traveled al over the place since developing fibro. I've been to Europe several times (the flight is a killer but worth it), flown to Hawaii, been to theme parks, and even ended up on stage in Branson! I was not going to let fibro stand in the way of living my life.
I just planned like I normally would. The only special thing I took was an inflatable lumbar support pillow. It fit in my purse and I could blow it up when my back started bothering me. I drank plenty of fluids, did my exercises and didn't need to walk since there was a lot of walking on my trips. I made sure I had my medication in my purse and a half pint of water to take the pills when needed. Other than that, I didn't dwell on my illnesses and just looked forward to a great time...and I always have one!
So try not to worry. You will be amazed at what you can do with fibro. If you put limitations on yourself and think you can't do this and that then you can't since you never tried. Just go and enjoy your family. Yes, it feels very good to get back home but you will have lots of wonderful memories tucked in your heart.
