today we drove to the beach in Bournemouth..It was a lovely sunny day and we had a great time. Its the first time I have been to the beach since fibro diagnosis...It was ok apart from walking on the sand hurt my toes and the wasps attacking our sandwiches!
Its made me really positive to do things - the last few weeks we have managed to do something every day and have got into the swing of momentum now (i just hope it doesnt all catch up with me in one go)...Maybe I have it under control now? Or maybe just living, not being distracted by pain, and remaining positive has helped...i just wanted to write a happy post for a change and let all the newbies know you can still have a great life with fibro

That is wonderful, Wackers! Doing things that you enjoy is the best thing for distracting pain. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your outing and I hope you have many enjoyable days ahead :)
It is true, you can enjoy life with a painful condition. The secret is not letting the pain become the focus of your day. Thanks for sharing :)

Glad you had a good day! And, yes, once you get the hang of what you can do, your limits, and what you need to do to prepare for things, you CAN have a great time.
Woohoo for you!

I am glad you got out on the beach. The beach is my favorite place to be. I would live there if I could. I forgot how hard it can be to walk in the sand. I realize I am getting older as I struggled walking in the sand.
