about 2 weeks ago I came down with a stomach virus, went away after a day. After that, lower back began to hurt where the kidney's are then the next day it went to my hips then down my legs. Now my left calf, behind, hurts and it twitches also my toes on the same leg hurts. When I walk around it dont hurt has bad as I sit down or lay down. Sometimes I get a hot sensation inside of my leg.

My left arm also hurt and last time I had a pain shoot down my arm. I am also having all over the body twitches.

I am freaking out about my leg because I am afraid that it might be a blood clot.

I did just start my period 2 days ago, would these symptoms be caused by that?

Yes. Along with any number of things that might have happened.

I loathe fibro.

It sounds somewhat like the flare that sent me to a neurologist several years ago.  The twitches drove me crazy.  Also had tiny and not-so-tiny muscle cramps just about everywhere.  I underwent testing, but nothing specific showed up.

The good news is that it gradually got better.  I no longer remember how long that took, but I do remember being miserable for a few weeks!

Have you been checked by a neurologist?  It really gave me peace of mind to do that.

Welcome to the forum. It certainly sounds like it could be Fibro - check out "Fibro 101" if you haven't, (1st thread on the forum list.) Lots of helpful info there. Lists of symptoms, similar conditions, coping mechanisms - you name it!

Of course, we can't diagnose you - you have to see a doctor for that. Have you been to anyone about all this?

I've been concerned about blood clots sometimes in the past, too. Those pains and twitches always just go away, or go somewhere else (more likely.) But they sure are unpleasant. Try not to panic, though I know that's sometimes hard.

Looking forward to getting to know you - keep posting!

Take your symptoms to your PCP, and s/he can order tests and get on the road to ease of mind, one way or another.

It's no fun when your body doesn't want to play nice.

Hi, Jen, and welcome!  You have gotten good advice here.  You do need to be checked out to see what is going on.  It might be something as simple as a magnesium deficiency.  Low magnesium can cause that.  We can't tell but your doctor can.  Do let us know what you find out. 

 

Do read Fibro 101, as Debbie suggested.  There is a load of info about fibro and this can help you see if this is what possibly could be going on, too.

I went to the ER today. They took blood and everything came back fine but i guess the thing where they check for clots was a little high but they checked my leg and there was no clot.

I called the ER and they said that having blood clots where I am on my period might make the test come back a little high. They told me to go to my reg. doc Monday to run more test.

Oh, I forgot. They also said that I had a strained muscle in my leg that is why it is hurting.
