I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, Anna. I can relate to nausea that's relieved by sugar. The foods that settle my gut are usually either sugary or salty, and starchy. They're the ones I reach for when I start getting the weak, shakey feeling I so hate, too.
Fruit is actually tricky for me with my IBS...I have to eat it along with something that sits easier, and usually peel it.
I can never get settled in a routine of taking any supplements. I try to stick to a multi, calcium, and magnesium, and have recently started with Mega-Red. But together or separately, they all seem to get my bowels in an uproar, and I'll quit again for a few days. My doctor says some people just can't take supplements :( and I'm starting to think I'm one of them...even though I know I need them, with my diet so limited by the IBS. It's a viscious circle.
Bodies!!
