Colorado floods

It's crazy here!  We are on a hill so not too worried for ourselves, but one good friend in the foothills had to be evacuated, and another closer by had his mobile home just wash away - - so he'll be staying with us for awhile. 

Just when I thought things were getting back to normal.

I cannot believe this flooding!! - lived on these high, dry plains all my life, and wouldn't have thought it possible.

I'm glad to hear you are safe. I was wondering about that.

Yesterday morning I was watching a live rescue of a man trapped in his car. The car was on it's side and the rescuers had chained the car's axel to the fire truck. The window was rolled down and they handed him a life jacket and you could see him put it on. As the man tried to get out the window, the car rolled over on it's roof! I gasped and my heart was pounding. The rescuers amazingly were able to get the door open and managed to get man out. Of course, I was weak kneed by this time and it took me about a half an hour to calm down.

I hope the rain stops for all of you. It is frightening. I hope you are stocked up with supplies so you don't have to drive in that mess. Stay close to home and keep us abreast as to what is going on. I'm praying for your safety.

Yes, glad you are safe! Sent prayers for everyone's safety. It is sad to see how destructive the flooding is.

I am too am glad your are safe! Here in Vegas, we had about 2 weeks of rain, although it was not any heavy downfalls. It was just enough to make me hurt really bad. I pray that you and your family/friends will be okay.

I heard that all this rain in your area is a once in a 500 year event. Lucky you. Stay dry and keep safe.

Glad to hear that you and yours have made out OK so far. I am out on the far eastern plains, about forty miles west of the Kansas line. So far we have not seen flooding out here, just creeks running that have not run for years.

Quick question- Starting Tuesday evening when the rains startred to roll into my area, I was completely incapacitated. Could not move,wake up, speak.coherently, red facial rash was practically glowing and burning, etc. This lazted through Friday evening. Saturday morning rolled around, the clouds and rain were gone. We had sunny skies with a high of 79, perfect pre-fall weather. Did you experience anyexacerbation of your symptoms with this storm system? I felt as though I was trapped in my body. From Tuesday evening to Friday evening Iwas out of bed only a handful of times to use the toilet with assistance. I didnot eat and was barely able to drink. I just had no.desire or ability.Really, it scared the stuffing out of me and I was cloze to calling the ambulance, but zomehow I knew it would pass. Just really funky and scary.

Stay high (high ground, that is) and keep dry!
