I went to a new rheumy yesterday and couldn't be happier smilewinkgrin
At first it seemed like she was blowing me off, making me feel like I was crazy, or losing my mind. cry Then after we did the question and answer thing, she did a physical examination.. and when she was done, said "Oh yeah, you aren't crazy, you have fibro! Now, lets get some more blood work done, and then you come back next week and we will go over a game plan together"...

I couldn't have been happier!!! Can't wait til next week to see what else we come up with.. besides the spinal stenosis, and the osteoarthritis, and all that other stuff... But at least I feel LESS crazy now!

Glad you found a good Dr. Have you not had a fibro diagnoses before? It really helps to know that your Dr. truly understands. You probably can share some helpful info with her that you learned from here.

I had 3 pre-diagnosis, but no one would confirm it.. until now :)
can't wait til I go back next week!!!

Great news! I just got a rheumatologist too and she is taking me seriously. Fibro is not an easy beast to tame so I feel very fortunate to have a strong group of specialists now.

Yay!! Good for you. Having a Dr. On your side and believing in you makes all the difference. I don't mean this in a bad way, but congrats on finally getting the official diagnosis.😃 and a good Dr!!

I had to reschedule my follow up,so I go this Friday. Had some other stuff come up.
Maybe you guys can relate? 1 week ago I had to have another major surgery..they had to remove my remaining ovaries with e fist sized cysts, that were wrapped around my bowels. SO much so that I was lucky enough to get 2 surgeons (my insurance probably wants to shoot me and be done with the bills by now!) anyway, they did it laproscopically, and pain was not that bad..not too thrilled about being put into immediate surgical menopause...but I will deal with that over the pain anyday!
I was going to follow up with my ob on THursday, but got really sick over the weekend..and of course, me and my clumsy self, slipped on something wet on a kitchen floor on Saturday and wiped right out. And, 2x since the surgery, I squatted down to do something and couldn't get back up! I literally had to crawl over to the couch and crawl up on it, then stand back up..it felt like someone was standing on my spine, right at my hips and I had no feeling right there.. scared the bejeesus out of me!
Anyone else have/had that?
