Fibro or Differential Diagnosis?

How do the docs know if we really have Fibro or something similar? I have had many symptoms for years and now more are added to the list. My Rheum. says it is Fibro but I want to have more tests done. This could be MS or something else like that. I get such extreme fatigue-where I don't want to go out for supper or see my grandkids or even do cleaning. These are important things to me but when I feel sick I don't do any of this.

And what are the 'sick' symptoms of MS, it is not only the movement and fatigue stuff, there is also pain--right?

I have just been tested for MS with a brain MRI scan. It is meant to show up lesions on the brain. I have had many symptoms of this illness, twitches, pain, fatigue, buzzing in feet, weakness...this is why the neuro sent me for a scan - to rule it out. I don't think I have it and I am not too worried about it.
Have a look on the MS forum and maybe have a chat there, maybe that will ease your anxieties a bit.
Fibro can cause so many different symptoms, fatigue is definitely one of them (it is for me anyway) and Couchtater is right - depression can cause fatigue and pain also. Maybe have another chat with your doc and see if they can help with that side of things
