I am not a morning person. If left to my own devices, I fall asleep at midnight, and up at 8:30.

This week, I have been subbing at a local high school (and will continue to do this). They start at 7 AM, and I get up at 5:30. Trying to go to bed early has mixed results.

I am enjoying it, but I am so tired and achy!

YAY! !!! I'm glad you found a little something something. So happy for you! You like it? How's your students? Hopefully well behaved. Yes that is early but you will adjust I have complete faith in you! ! Congrats again Myself.

I am not a morning person either. So I know it's got to be tough!

Yeah, I understand, not a morning person either. So much so that I'm planning on selling or renting out my house and moving closer to work so I can sleep in a little more. I wish you luck!

Morning? What's that? I don't deal with mornings at all.
When I was working I was up at 5:45am Monday thru Friday from August 1st to June 5th. I hated mornings even then for the first two hours.

Now I'm usually still awake at 5am and sleep until 1pm.

Sounds like most fibromites dislike mornings. I probably can guess why? We feel like we are 80 years old! I know when I was working I had to work 3-11 shifts until they went to 12 hrs nursing shift mandatory. That is when I had to stop work. I am glad your able to still work.

I'm not a morning person either. It takes me about an hour or so to wake up while drinking coffee. I don't want anyone to talk to me during this time.

I'm so proud of you for getting out there and doing what you enjoy, even through the fatigue and pain!

Well, this assignment is done, the teacher plans to be back by Monday, if she is well enough.

Many don't know my 'story'. I was a college professor until this May, when I left my job for a huge variety of reasons, including health. So, being in a classroom really doesn't phase me at all.

The kids were fun. They learned. I have never done this before, so it was a good start. It actually burned far less energy that I am used to going through teaching, since I wasn't teaching my stuff, just following someone's plan.

I found that really surprising, actually. Far less tiring. And I signed up for high school ONLY, for that reason. I just do not do small children well, due to the noise factor. It would make me crazy.

Honestly, the only thing I disliked was the 7 am start time. Boo.

Myself,

I work at high school part-time. I teach French. Only nine classes per week, 45 minutes each, in three days. It`s manageable. Two things however are difficult for me. On Friday i have early morning classes and the previous night is completely sleepless. The other problem is the noise: some occasional noise in the class makes me really mad.
For the moment going to work makes me feel more self-confident and happy and i don`t mind having some little discomfort from time to time.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and I just bet you will be kept busy this winter by the school system.

I liked the smaller children...9 and 10 year olds. They weren't noisy and weren't mouthy either. LOL
