Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a new term thrown at me so I am trying to find information on it.

Question: With IBS when you use the bathroom (go #2) and you don't have to strain will you bleed from your bottom area?

I am having this issue and will go to see my PC doctor on the 18th.

There is an IBS forum on this site where you might get better answers? But in my experience I do bleed, I think mine is from some piles around that area. I got told by my doctor that if its fresh blood then its piles, but if its darker blood or black / red mixed in with stool, then this might indicate a more serious problem.
Im no doc though, I know there are a few on here with IBD that maybe able to shed more light
