I have a small Puggle ( pug beagle mix) and I think she knows I am sick. When I have a flare she's on top of me. Yesterday I fell, and after that she was on it.. she would not leave my side. Does anyone else have pets that "sense" your disease? Just wondering, docs cannot.. but pets can.. LOL..

Yes, I believe our pets are really in tune with how we are feeling emotionally and physically. I have always been a cat person. Both my cats, Charlie and Frankie seem to know when I need some extra loving, Charlie thinks he is a dog and is forever giving me big sloppy kisses allover my face. Frankie seems to know when my blood pressure is up and will come over and demand that I pet him and I will calm right down. I love my boys.

Oh yes, they can tell. Besides that, they can tell when somebody is going to have a seizure or if they have cancer. Animals are so intuitive...

I am glad you have your puggle to take care of you. They show love so unconditionally.

my cats are my saviour...I have a beautiful ginger tom, I can cuddle him like a teddy bear, he also keeps me warm by laying on my lap...I really believe they can aid in healing aswell, by being extremely therapeutic

My cat was always cuddling when I felt rotten. I miss her a great deal. The other one is coming out of his shell since the other two died and starting to pay attention to me more.

They say dolphins can smell tumors and skin cancers in case your wondering.

I have a dachshund and she is always by my side when I am not feeling well. She loves to snuggle, I call her my Snuggle Bunny.

Our first cat, Jeanne lived with us about 17 years. One year later we began living with our second cat, Marie. Both of them -sweet, gentle, amusing, funny and extremely affectionate.

We have had pets who "know," too. Our sweet Tom (cat) always sat on whoever was hurting. If he happened to sit on the sore spot, we'd just gently move him to a better area, and he'd stay there. When our youngest had terrible migraines, starting at about 10, he wouldn't move for hours and hours.

Of course, the other 2 cats couldn't have cared less....

Sometimes our dogs will stay closer when we're sick, but nothing like Tom. But then, he was a magician
