It's 6 degrees out and I'm feeling it. I fricking hurt everywhere.!! 7 more inches of snow coming Sunday. Tuesday the high will be -2 with a low of -14 . pain so bad I'm moaning. I know the weather has flared me beyond belief. Trying my best to stay positive and tell myself and this to shall pass.

Question by the way.... Do any of you fibro friends get red hot ears? My ears get red hot and sting. Happens daily ...usually in the evening. It's been going on for months. Drives me bonkers. Can last an hour or so sometimes. Ugghhhh!!

Sorry to whine and complain but I knew you would all understand. Glad I'm off the weekend. Let me know about the ear thing. Take care everyone!

I feel for you !! Low here hhmm Tuesday I think is suppose to be 3°.. bbbrrrr!!
Cleaned the 3" of new snow today so it would not melt & refreeze over & over ..
been there /done there in the past. Shoulder & neck are screaming

Usually a member of my family will do it but they have an injury so I did not ask. Admit I had to bite my tongue to not comment as this is one who openly doubts my pain...

Burning ears ? No. But I sometimes Do experience burning pains in a couple fo fingers or toes.. not for long- if anybody was looking at my face (grimacing) they would probably think I was experiencing a seizure cause I've learned to sit still & it passes quickly.. have not been able to pinpoint a reason for this.

Hang in there.. my mantra 'I'm special'. Lol

Are your ears white or blue before the redness?
How about your fingers, toes, or nose?
It might be raynuad's syndrome. Cold and stress can trigger the blood vessels to shrink. When they warm up they can turn red and burn.

I get red, burning ears sometimes too...usually just the tops. Actually, it's been awhile. I don't have any idea why that particular symptom has faded away, but I don't miss it.

Stay warm! It's supposed to be cold here in Colorado tomorrow, but nothing like farther east. That's scary-cold!!

I don't know how you folks up north can stand those temperatures. I used to live up north and had plenty of minus temperatures and I was miserable. The night my son was born, we drove to the hospital in -40 degree temps. We had trouble getting the car to start and then car heater wouldn't work since the engine wasn't getting warm and it was a half an hour drive to the hospital. We went through all red light for fear the car would stall out if we stopped and wouldn't start again.

It got down in the 40's here last night and I was hurting all over so, Michael and others, I really feel bad for you. Dress in a lot of layers, hot showers help and so do those Bed Buddies. You still need to keep moving, too.

I don't have the problem with the ears so I don't have suggestions there. Now...stay warm!

I am in PA. and we got the same weather here, plus the flare for me.

I have get the hot feeling in my ears on and off, never checked to see if they are red but feel like heat is radiating off them.

Michael...sorry you are hurting. The cold can be so brutal on us. I got a good reminder when I was up in Wisconsin for Christmas...-11 actual temps. Here in Arkansas this past week it was nearly 60 one day for a high and the very next day was a very damp 34 for a high.

I have raynaud's and my hands and toes are affected, even taking a med for it. My ears on occassion will experience the burning pain too. Both the cold and stress can bring on a attack for me. So I can have have colorful digits in extreme heat.

Do let your dcc know about this symptom...hopefully a calcium channel blocker could help you if it gets real bothersome. Also hope it warms up in your neck of the woods :)

I really feel for all of you who are having to endure all this cold weather! I don't know what I would do. I agree with Sherrine about hot showers and bed buddy. I actually have 5 bed buddies now. I 2 for my feet, one big one for my neck and shoulders and 2 that can wrap around joints. I love them!!

Yah, here too. What I hate is the tingly electric hum in my body the twelve hours before the front moves in. It's been particularly bad this winter.

If your miserable and cold come visit Anchorage. We are warmer then many states in the lower 48. We are running around 34 high and 30's low. Hopefully the ice sculptures can get done without melting. It has been raining. Maybe some global warming up here going on. Lol I don't mind the cold too much anymore. I dress in layers!
