Hey all- I've battled Fibro for over 20 years and while not perfect I think I have it managed. I run support groups in my neck of the woods for chronic pain am a nurse and am doing my doctoral work on trying to beat this beast once an for all. I have RA on top of it so...yeah...non-stop amusement park here! So glad to find this site and this group!

Nice to have you aboard. We are a friendly bunch :) who really like to help eachother....

It sounds like you've been through the mill, will Fibro and RA both - it's nice that you run support groups. They just don't seem to be able to take root and survive where I live.

Did you check out "Fibro 101," our first thread? It's a very good one, even for those of us who come to the forum with many battle scars.

Welcome to the fibro family Jay :) Debbie is right...we are a friendly bunch who really like to help eachother.

It great to have a place where others understand. I've learned quite a bit from this group and have recieved so much support and encouragement during some trying times. It is great to be able to share with others.

Hi, Jay, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in. I've had fibro for 26 years but am still learning new things. It was called fibrositis when I was first diagnosed. LOL. A lot has been learned and hopefully they will figure this out in the near future.

We do have members who love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really care about each other, too. I think you will like it here.

Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. It is chock full of good info about fibromyalgia.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
