ouchy & angels

Today I was doing errands for my sister and BIL. I have been visiting them this week helping them out due to both being bad sick.
Any who, the traffic was so heavy I had to go down the road to find a safe turn around so I could go the right direction. I found a rather narrow driveway to pull in and use to turn around. As I was backing out I saw this woman speeding towards me. I pulled forward and turned hard to get out of her way. What I didn't notice was a ditch close to the road. My right front tire wound up in the ditch and my left rear tire three feet up in the air!
By the time I got out of the car a guy in a converible pulls up behind me. He jumps out asking if he could help. Then a large pickup pulls up asking if they could lend a hand. Together the four men pulled out towing straps and pulled my car safely out of the ditch.
I told them they were my guardian angels and thank them profusely.

However, now that the stress is over with my joints are really hurting from the jaring and tension.

No she didn't stop, but I did cause quite a backup of traffic. ;-)

Eek! Glad you are okay, Joy. I hope your joints are better, too.

It's so cool when someone helps out a stranger. I, too, consider them a kind of angel on earth.

Does anyone else here get the "Angels On Earth" magazine? It has stories that are really heartwarming, about someone 'being there' at just the right time.

I slid off the road in a snow storm last winter, and had a similar angel come up in his huge truck. There will be aches, my friend. Boy, it was several days before I could walk without wincing.
