fibro is not enough?

As if I don't have enough issues with fibromyalgia and all that goes with it, I was hit by a truck last Friday. No, I was not in a car, I was walking! I flew through the air and landed in the street on my right side. As I look back at all the terrible ways this could have turned out I am thankful to be here writing this!

I am looking for a soltens Unit that I bought once from Nikken. They do not sell them anymore. Should anyone know how to get one please write to me!

Welcome Betty, sorry about the accident. to is tough just dealing with the fibro. Hope you get to feeling better.

I'm not familiar with that tens unit.
You can buy them now over the counter at some pharmacies.

Betty, I guess you are counting your blessings. I bet your body is feeling the bruises and whatever you else received. Sorry I don't know about what your looking for.

thanks to everyone who wrote. My DO is shocked that I am doing as well as I am. When I think about all the terrible ways this could have come out! I am still having nightmares about it!

Hi, Betty, and welcome! If you google Tens Unit, you will see quite a variety...maybe one that is better than the one that you can't find! I have never used one but some people get good help from that.

I'm sorry you had such a terrible thing happen and your truly were blessed! I haven't heard of too many people who have been hit by a truck and lived to tell about it. But I'm sure you hurt all over. Perhaps your doctor would give you a muscle relaxer. I know for me that when I hurt, I am tensing up to "protect" myself from the pain. I use a muscle relaxer now and it has made a significant difference for me. So it might help you...especially in your circumstance.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are good links about fibro and you will learn a lot there. I've had fibro for 27 years and I'm still learning new things.

I certainly had an angle on my shoulder that evening! I have cheated death about 5 or 6 times and feel that God has something for me to do before he calls me home. I am having really bad nightmares about all the ways it could have turned out. My anxiety level is very high but I am grateful to be here to talk about it.

My DO told me today that I shook up the rocks in my ears and that is why I am dizzy. This is not the first time I have been told I have rocks in my head!

Thank you one and all for all your replies. I have learned that the TENS unit I am looking for is no longer made but I did find a very similar one.
