Hi there I am new to this Forum so I apologize if i am repeating what other members may have already posted.
about 12 months ago I noticed that when I step out of bed i get a pins and needles sensation on the ball of my right foot. I took myself of to 5 different podiatrists, surgeons and had xrays ultra sounds and mri's done. not one person could tell me what was wrong as nothing appeared on the images. Then recently I started having this crawling sensation on my scalp, so i immediately thought I had lice and bought some lice treatment but it came back. So i started googling crawling feeling in scalp and came to a post made by someone who was diagnosed with Fibro, i found it very similar so googled Fibro symptoms and both foot and head condition I have been suffering with came up. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue when I was in high school and have suffered with anxiety attacks since I could remember, I also have IBS (although not professionally diagnosed) so it would seem like I may have Fibro. My question is where do I go from here? Many thanks

Also I am from the central coast of Nsw and noticed another member is from here as well so any local advice would be great as well.

Welcome to the forum. I find I have a tougher time with the fatigue than the pain. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of pain, but I have a high pain tolerance. The fatigue is what I can't live with...

Have you talked to your doctor about fibromyalgia? Do they believe in it? If you aren't comfortable about talking about it to your doctor, you might consider seeing a rheumatologist??? I can't spell it...

Or find a doctor that is open to fibromyalgia. The best place I would think would be to start with your doctor, unless somebody can recommend something else for you. I sure hope that you feel better soon.

Keep moving, whatever you do... If you don't, you will be worse. Do you work a job? It is so hard working when you have fibro. I am thinking about trying to work part time again. It has been a few years though.

Welcome kalie! Your doing the right thing so far and that is educating yourself. I would make an appointment with a board certified rheumatologist who works with fibro patients. Many other diagnoses can be similar to fibro, so this is why you need a Dr. Many times one suffers for years before getting a proper diagnoses. Your symptoms can fall under fibro, but I would seek a Dr. for further evaluation. You might have noticed that fibro patients test are usually within normal limits. This is why Dr's have a tough time trying to figure it all out.

I am glad you found this forum. It was here were I learned how to manage my fibro. I was able to go on line and read books on fibro. I could see myself on each page. I was a little frustrated at first because my Dr's never shared all what I learned from this book. After reading, I learned I wasn't crazy after all. I hope you don't have it, but if you do we can help you with it.
