Costochondritis

I am having an extremely bad flare of Costo. I've been to the ER where they gave me morphine and Valium. Sent me home with Norco and Valium. I have been using a heating pad and occasionally Celebrex. I am going on 9 days of pain, tho FINALLY it's starting to lessen a bit. I've had Costo in the past, just never this bad or for as long.

Is there some trick I am missing to help ease the pain and discomfort???

Thanks Karen...yes I've had it in the past too but it usually only lasted for a day or two...4 days tops.

I've never had it this long nor as bad as it has been. It's so horrible because it seems you just can't escape yourself. I have a very high pain tolerance so for this to bring to me my knees means something. I had hiccups the other day...thought I was dying! Then today, because of allergies, sneezed like 10 times in a row....can we say OUCH!

I did take an Epsom salt bath earlier and it seemed to help. I know it takes time to heal but I just wondering if there was some magic cure? LOL

Thanks Sherrine. Yes the Celebrex seems to help...I was actually hoping someone had a magic wand to take it it away! :)
