Fentanyl patches

My cousin who has arthritis & he thinks I should try Fentanyl Patches for my pain. Do any of you use these patches? I wonder because Fibro pain moves around. I have arthritis too, and am on Opana & Oxycotin now. When I typed it in the question space, I was directed to chronic pain, but not Fibro. Thanks

Thanks so much for your replies. Rock on, what are the mast cell problems you were referring to? I 'm currently on Opana 40mg. Twice a day with oxycodone 15mg. For break through. I kind of hate to switch unless the patches are a lot better. I'm retired luckily, so when I'm having a bad day I can go to bed. I'm also old, 69, so my kids are all on their own. This disease hit me at 60, so I consider myself lucky compared to those of you who are still young, working, & raising a family! I don't know how you do it. I also have an understanding & helpful spouse, so I feel for you of those who don't.

I am the one who is already on the fent patch. I've been on for 4 years. Started out with25, then to 50 for a while, then moved to 75 for the past 3 years. It doesn't stop all the pain, but I can't imagine life without it.

I don't want to have this patch on my body, but I do have to work.
